Ikaria, our fateful adventure

Nine years ago when 'fate' landed my husband and I on the small Greek island of Ikaria in the dead of winter, we had no idea what was in store for us. A bit of an adventure you might say for 2 retirees who left our Caribbean home due to a Category 5 Hurricane wiping us out.

I've loved photography since age 9 and for these years living in Ikaria I've witnessed the beauty, wildness, independence and freedom of both the people and the land. This book 'Unique Ikaria" is the culmination of my exploration of the island and some of what has been shared with the generous Ikarians this past nine years. It's a place where one can bloom like the abundant fruit on the trees at every turn.
